The Council met from 2:00 to 3:31 p.m. in the University Union Board Room.
The Council will meet again at 2:00 p.m. on March 1, 2007, in the University Union Boardroom.
Policy Discussions:
1. Approved administrative admission policy change (split the preamble from the procedure) recommendation to Faculty Senate.
2. Approved Procedure for Accepting Freshman on Academic Warning
3. Approved recommending letter to Director of Admissions for accepting freshman on
Academic Warning
4. Approved procedural change offered by OAS to leave freshman in OAS even if they meet regular admissions requirements unless student contact OAS first with amendment to include that a student may appeal OAS decision to CAGAS prior to the start of the semester and only if final transcripts are on record
5. Began discussion regarding Council of Academic Advisors' request to have an ex-officio member on CAGAS - final vote will be taken at next week's meeting.
6. FYE discussion will be placed on the agenda for next week.
