EVHS ACT Prep Course Make‐up Policy The EVHS ACT Prep Course strives to serve our students by creating a positive learning environment. This is done primarily through active participation and practice in all areas tested on the ACT exam. While many of the activities, such as practice tests can be done outside of class, the learning occurs in the process of analyzing and sharing that occurs between students and the instructor during class time. This cannot be duplicated in a make‐up situation. While we understand that some conflicts cannot be avoided, especially due to illness, we have posted our schedule far in advance to allow families to choose a session that best fits their needs and schedules. We hope that you will make the opportunity for attending this class a priority. If you miss a session, the following make‐up guidelines can be expected: 1.

Student will notify the instructor of absence, including a reason. Student will get all notes from online resources as directed in the first session. Student will make up any online tests in a reasonable amount of time. Instructor will provide any handouts or materials not available online. Instructor will answer any questions generated by the student as a result of completing make‐up tests or activities. 6. Instructor will offer a full make‐up session ONLY if class has been cancelled due to instructor illness, school‐wide or other conflict affecting a large number of students (i.e. weather).
