SURVIVES
PROBATION!
---------------------------------------In a split decision by the state board of sideline officials, Charlie Hokkanen (EVHS right side poletender)
was judged to have completed the requirements of the mandatory 3-year apprenticeship program. The
majority of the board sided with Charlie, citing his improved work ethic, dedication, and punctuality.
However, those members voting against full licensure for Mr. H cited similar reasons for their displeasure:
he was the only gang member to miss a game this year and is still usually the last member to show up prior
to game time. It was an spirited debate, and as usual , the vote came down to the wee hours and the most
important qualities: Charlie brought good sunflower seeds when it was his turn and didn’t win more than
his share of sideline wagers. Congratulations Charlie, and welcome to the guild of journeymen. Your
Class A license is in the mail.
-------BOOSTER CLUB NOTES--------Last Game—the number of fans making the trek to Owatonna was amazing—the visiting stands were
FULL of EVHS football supporters, including many of the Booster Club faithful. Unfortunately, the team
faced a tough Huskies squad and Eastview’s season was ended by a score of 35-30. Thanks, Coach
Sherwin and staff, for a fine season of first-class play by a first-class group of gentlemen.
