KCMO school district struggles with drop‐outs and success of its students, and UMKC is not powerfully engaged in helping solve those problems (for example, Lincoln Prep is only KCMO high school in top 10 feeders).

Improving facilities for libraries on hospital hill is difficult because of fundraising constraints and limited space but there is a strong cry from students for improvements.
