Contact Information
Dalhousie University (est.1818) is situated on
79 acres in the heart of the Atlantic Canadian
port city of Halifax, Nova Scotia’s provincial
capital. Founded in 1749, Halifax is known for
its beauty, maritime charm, friendliness, and
quality of life. The metro area has a population
of approximately 360,000, making it large
enough to offer many of the services of a
larger city — cultural activities, sporting
events, public transportation, a vibrant
Halifax harbour
downtown, major shopping centres, and an
international airport — while
maintaining the friendly qualities
of a small town.
