So, what is a POLYNOMIAL?
It is an equation made up of MONOMIALS (mono meaning ONE real number, variable, or a product of each).
Each TERM of a polynomial is called a monomial.
A polynomial made up of one term is a MONOMIAL. Ex: 4x2
A polynomial made up of two terms is a BINOMIAL. Ex: 4x + 7
Anything more than two terms simply has the name POLYNOMIAL.
