APPLICATION FORM
The application form is available online in the following periods:

STEPS FOR THE ONLINE APPLICATION:
1. www.polimi.it > Servizi Online (Online Services) > New User - Register (if you
already have a POLIMI account go to step 3);
2. complete the form and set the password, keep your person code and password for
further use;
3. log in into Online Services, switch to English and enter the link: APPLICATION
FORMS > Incoming exchange students > ON-LINE APPLICATION;
4. complete the missing parts of the form and save.
You need to submit ONLY the online application: no hard copies are required.
CHOICE OF THE COURSES

Select the Study Program and the “Track” of your interest (which is a specific curriculum
within the degree study program) and indicate your choice in the application online.
Please be aware that:

you have to choose the most part of the courses/credits in a single host School
although you can acquire a MAXIMUM of 12 CREDITS from programs offered by
different Schools;
no minimum number of credits is required (the workload is usually 30 credits per
semester and up to 80 credits a year);
1 ECTS credit (equal to 1 CFU) = about 25 hours workload (including classes,
practice, homework);
WARNING!
PLACES IN ARCHITECTURAL WORKSHOPS ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO MAKE A FLEXIBLE CHOICE OF THE COURSES.
Lectures held in Italian have more availability and professors provide support to exchange
students in English language.
Once arrived, you will be enrolled and you will be able to discuss your definitive
choice of the courses with the academic tutor of your study field.
Once your application is approved, all accepted students will receive a confirmation of
acceptance by e-mail.
Extra-EU students will also receive an original Letter of Acceptance necessary to start
the procedure to get their VISA.
ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES
Politecnico organizes every year Italian language courses free of charge both in the
autumn and in spring semester.
Accepted students will receive the information about how to apply later on as soon as the
courses will be scheduled.
