Natural Disaster Rubric Assignment: As a group, you will study and research assigned violent weather phenomena. Each group member will research a section and present it to the class in the given methods or an approved format of their choice. Objectives: 1. Students will be able to explain how unequal solar heating of the earth causes violent weather. 2. Students will be able to explain how violent weather is caused by air mass movement. 3. Students will know how to remain safe during a violent weather occurrence. Activities: 1. Students will research the assigned natural disasters. - Including safety, formation, specific events, locations most affected, etc. 2. Students will gather information and put into a creative report style of their choice. 3. Students will present their information to the class in their desired format.
