COOPERATIVE EDUCATION FULL TIME EQUIVALENCY
1.0 BACKGROUND
The concept of combining classroom education with related work experience is
a long-standing approach to instruction at UW-Stout. Off-campus assignments
combine classroom learning with relevant applied experience in industry,
business, or government.
Organized work-related experiences such as cooperative education and
internships are defined by the University as a regular part of a student's
academic program.
2.0 POLICY
It is the policy of the University of Wisconsin-Stout to define students officially
enrolled in cooperative experiences requiring 40 or more hours per week of
work as full-time enrollees except for tuition and fee assessment and for
financial aid disbursement eligibility. Such students are considered to be
pursuing their educational requirements on a full-time basis.
