OUR ATHLETICS: • • • • 3,200+ hours of community service completed by student athletes last year. 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA for the 18th straight semester. 17 Division I sports, including football, which will move to FBS as a part of Conference USA at the start of the 2015 season. Mark Price, former NBA All-star, hired as 10th men’s basketball coach. 2016 PRIVATE FUNDRAISING PRIORITIES: • • • • Access and scholarship - increase available funds to ensure that students have access to higher education to support their progress to graduation. Student experience - support development of diverse campus activities ranging from intercollegiate athletics to top quality arts and cultural programming to engage the community and inform the hearts and minds of our students. Faculty support - continually invest in recruiting and retaining the highest quality faculty to ensure the continued excellence of University programs. Transformational opportunities - build on our unique role in the region’s economic development and, through programming like the Data Science Initiative, deliver tomorrow’s community of professionals.
