*You need to choose 4 activities from the list below. These activities are to help you
learn your spelling words for the week. Please circle the activities you chose to do
and then staple your completed activities to this paper. If you don’t circle the
activities or staple them to this paper you will lose 2 points for not following

1. Choose five words from your list. Cut out each letter for your words
from a magazine. Glue them on a separate sheet of paper.
2. Create a vocabulary square for 8 of your spelling words. Follow
the same format that we use in class: 1st box-word, 2nd boxdefinition, 3rd box- sentence, 4th box- antonym
3. Put your words in ABC order.
4. Create your own word search using all your spelling words and
highlight your words. You can do this on graph paper or lined
paper.
5. Get a dictionary and look up all your words and write down the
word and what it means.
6. Choose ten words from your list. Write one nice complete
sentence for each word. Make sure that your sentences are of 4th
grade quality.
7. Write a descriptive story about a made up creature using at least 5
of your spelling words. Underline your spelling words, so that they
are easier for me to find. Don’t forget to: indent, use complete
detailed sentences, have correct punctuation, a good beginning,
and correct spelling.
8. Have a parent help you take a practice test. Have them sign your
practice test.
