WHEREAS: NISG Senate needs a regular weekly meeting as per the Constitution to be picked
by the Speaker and decided on by the Senate; and
WHEREAS: the precedent for Senate is that it is to be held on Wednesday nights; and
WHEREAS: this allows committees to meet before Wednesday and talk about items to discuss
at Senate; and
RECOGNIZING: that while many Senators said they were free all evening, some had
commitments earlier in the evening and some had commitments later; thus
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED: That 8PM on Wednesday nights will be the weekly
meeting time for Senate for the Fall semester.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That copies of this resolution be sent to the Northern Iowan,
President Gartman, Supreme Court Chief Justice Peter Ickes as well as any other person or
groups at the discretion of the Speaker.
