SSR 2016-21 A Resolution for: Sponsored by: Appointing Sarah Hofmeyer as a College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Senator Speaker Bennett First Reading: January 27th, 2016 Vote: 11-0-1 Speaker Action:______________________________________________________________ Parker Bennett - Speaker Date WHEREAS: It is the job of the Speaker to appoint new Senators with two-thirds vote of the Senate; and WHEREAS: Having a full Senate is a positive for NISG and the university as a whole; and WHEREAS: Sarah Hofmeyer is a sophomore studying Political Science and Public Administration who applied to be a Senator for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences; and RECOGNIZING: that Sarah has been an excellent Senator, and has served the student body well as chair of Campus Relations; and FURTHER RECOGNIZING: that Sarah has been an advocate for student rights on a variety of issues, including mental health and sustainability efforts on campus; and BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED: that Sarah Hofmeyer shall be appointed as a College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Senator for the remainder of the 2015-2016 Senate term.
