RECOGNIZING: That the Northern Iowa Student Government is committed to serving the
needs of the student body at the University of Northern Iowa; and
FURTHER RECOGNIZING: The Northern Iowa Student Government hires a Director of
Fraternity and Sorority Life to work with the different Greek organizations, as well as the
Interfraternity Council and the Panhellenic Council, to enhance Greek Life at the University and
keep NISG informed of what is happening in the Greek Community; and
FURTHER RECOGNIZING: That Mr. DeHaan is very passionate about improving
communication between the Greek Community and other organizations; and
FURTHER RECOGNIZING: That Mr. DeHaan’s membership and leadership within Sigma
Phi Epsilon fraternity will serve him well in the role of Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life;
and
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED: that Ryan DeHaan is appointed to the position of Fraternity
and Sorority Life under the Gartman-Andersen Administration.
