MINUTES
Present: Trustees Lois Bartelme, Paul Glenn, Karen Gorham, John Hall, Jim Mollenhauer, Marcia
Rogers, Keith Stamp, John Swanson.
Also Present: Mick Starcevich, President; Sheryl Cook, Secretary.
Chair Bartelme called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m.
Trustees Stamp and Mollenhauer moved and seconded approval of the minutes of the regular
board meeting held on December 13, 2012 and directed them to be made a part of the permanent record.
Motion carried: 8-0.
Trustees Hall and Swanson moved and seconded approval of the agenda. Motion carried: 8-0.
Wendy Good and Justin Hoehn gave the Kirkwood Report. Beginning this month , following the
Board meeting, the Kirkwood Report will be posted to the Kirkwood website under “News & Events”.
CONSENT AGENDA
Trustees Mollenhauer and Glenn moved and seconded approval of the Consent Agenda. Motion
carried: 8-0.

1. City Construction – KCETC - add $36,425.00
2. City Construction – EagleTech - add $9,180.00
3. Woodruff Construction – Linn County Regional Center – add $3,313.00
4. Knutson Construction Services – Linn Hall – add $36,547.00
C. Synopsis of Bills pages 1 through 83 for total approval of $4,928,690.38
D. Second and Final Reading of Board Policy 244-Organizational Meeting
REGULAR AGENDA
Trustees Rogers and Hall moved and seconded approval of Final Industrial New Jobs Training
Agreements (260E) pursuant to Chapter 260E, Code of Iowa and Supplemental Program, pursuant to
Section 15A.7, Code of Iowa with:
1) HH Ventures, LLC of Linn County
2) Channel Fusion, Inc. of Linn County
Motion carried: 8-0.
REPORTS OF PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY
Dr. Dee Baird, President & CEO, Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance and Mr. Mark Nolte,
Interim President, Iowa City Area Development Group (ICAD) gave a presentation on Iowa’s Creative
Corridor.
There being no further business coming before the Board, Trustees Rogers and Stamp moved
and seconded the meeting be adjourned at 6:10 p.m. Motion carried: 8-0.
