enter text here Catalog Clarification: Please add this statement in the Undergraduate Music Requirements section of the 2017 Catalog: "Students may pursue more than one track in the BA degree area." Please leave the statement that BM students may not pursue both the BM and BA music degree programs.

CURRICULAR CHANGES, identifying the relationship of the proposed changes to other planning

licensure or accreditation/re-accreditation requirements). Explain how you know these changes are needed,
based on those planning processes. (e.g., Based on what we learned through assessing our _____ learning

some possible electives and change the required core from 9 to 12 credits with the addition of a newly

enter text here The new courses are for Group Piano, which is already offered in the music major category and
should be consistent with all the other applied courses and have a section for non-music majors; and Applied Jazz
Trombone, which is already being offered on an experimental basis and is needed by many of the music students
in the jazz program.
The other changes are corrections and housekeeping items.
