DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER
ENGINEERING,
VPCOE, BARAMATI
(B.E. COMPUTER)
(On 16th & 17th Feb. 2013)
The department of Computer Engineering, Vidya Pratishthan’s College of
Engineering organized a two days long educational visit to Chiplun and Satara on 16th
and 17th of February 2013 for B.E Computer engineering students.
Visit was organized with the prior permission and guidance of honorable
Principal Dr. S.B.Deosarkar. It was supported and organized by Respected HOD Prof.
Mrs. G. J. Chhajed and by the initiative and hard efforts of class teacher of B.E
Computer Prof. S. A. Shinde and Prof. M. B. Rangdal along with two teaching staff
members Ms. K. S. Jadhav and Ms. P. V. Madane accompany & guide the students
during visit. Along with the staff members, students of B.E Computer, there were 30 girls
and 24 boys initiative under the continuous guidance of Prof. S.A. Shinde which makes
this visit a grand success.
The details of Journey are as follows:1. We started traveling from Baramati at midnight on 15th Feb 2013.
2. We reached to Chiplun next day morning i.e. on 16th Feb 2013.
3. Then they started their sessions on the midday of the same day.
4. After the recess they demonstrated their results and setup.
5. We had a stay at Ratnagiri.
6. The next day morning we started traveling back to Baramati.
7. On 17th Feb night we were back to VP Campus.
Dalvi Bros. Pvt. Ltd at Chiplun on 16th Feb 2013. The students got benefited in
terms of the technical details provided by the company on an interesting domain of
Search Engine Optimization.
Firstly they conducted around 1 hour and 30 mins seminar session on Search
Engine Optimization which covered the following details:1. What is Search Engine?
2. The working details of Search Engine.
3. Working of Page Ranking.
4. Usage of Google search engine and possible optimization methods.
5. Usage of Yahoo Search engine.
6. Crawling process and the recent developments in the same
7. Keyword based searches and its further optimization.
8. Future research opportunities in this domain
9. Entrepreneur skills in this domain
10. Distributed Processing of Background search processes.
11. Question-answer Session.
Then they demonstrated few results of optimization at their dispatch. Application
of Clustering and classification approaches in this domain.
Finally they had shown us their network infrastructure and new setups. The kind
of treatment and hospitality provided by the company personnel were really very
good and we are thankful to them.

SEO is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web

The students of B.E. Computer Engineering and all the four staff members have
enjoyed the technical Endeavour at the company a lot. The company persons also
appreciated our students after the question answer sessions.
This Industrial Visit would certainly help the students in the subject of Distributed
Operating systems, Advanced Computer Architecture and Advanced Databases
especially in Information Retrieval and Network Security.
Students were well mannered and disciplined throughout the Tour and no injury or
anything bad happened during the industrial tour.
All the Staff members and Students are highly thankful to you for providing such an
opportunity for the visit.

Students Feedback
Educational visit to Chiplun and Satara organized by Department of Computer
Engineering was very informative. The guiding staff both college staff as well as site
staff was very supportive to all students.
We hope that this visit will help us in our future practical life and bring a positive
change in our thinking and practical behavior regarding Education and specially
Engineering.
