intended to
Starting on September 4th, the University of
practices in
Miami will host Places & Spaces: Mapping
information
Science, an exhibit of 100 visualizations
design, GIS,
intended to “inspire cross­disciplinary discussion
on how to best track and communicate human
activity and scientific progress on a global
scale.”
This unique and innovative exhibit is brought to
UM by the Center for Computational Science,

Library. Other temporary displays and events
will be held all over campus, including at the
Cox Science Building and the Lowe Art
Museum.
