Our new RPC2™ management card supports holistic security setups (the term "security concept"
could also be used here, although it could be mistaken to refer to access control) and high data center
availability:
– Power monitoring/control prevents consumers from being switched on and off unintentionally.
– Can be configured for in-band or out-of-band communication.
– Advanced authentication mechanisms and encrypted communication.
Increase the system security of your data center now with the new RPC2™ card for MPH2 and MPX.
What Does Inherent Security Architecture Mean Exactly?
Power monitoring and control helps to maintain workflows that ensure data center
operation. "LongLifeSwitching" helps to sustain critical services in the event of an emergency.
Serial high-speed communication enables protected, local CLI access or the use of a
separate out-of-band network with secured serial console servers and management
gateways (ACS, UMG).
HTTPS, SSH, and SNMPv3 are available for encrypted communication.
New certificates can be created or existing certificates imported.
User authentication takes place locally or remotely using Radius, TACAS, LDAP(S)/AD,
Kerberos, or the integrated user management in compatible Emerson software (DSView™).
Individual authorization methods can then be selected exclusively or with local back-up.
Single switching outputs of the rack PDU (Power Distribution Unit) can be assigned to
individual users.
The New RPC2 Card Also Offers Additional Useful Functions:
IPv6 support
Data back-up and restore function
Local or remote log function
Enhanced event messaging
"SWOTP", "SWOCP": Switching off non-critical outputs in the event of excess temperature
or excess current (configurable)
Software-supported, en masse firmware updates, backup, and configuration
