The Registration Form you are completing this year has a section for your advisor which
explains their roles and responsibilities as they relate to the Clery Act

Every Student Organization Advisor is certified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)
◦ Re- Regist rat ion: It is required that all organizations re- register their with the Student Involvement
Center on an annual basis
◦ Updat e Organizat ion Inf ormat ion: Through the Registration Form your organizations information
will be updated with current officer and advisor information
◦ At t odays meet ing: You will learn about policies and procedures that will help your organization be
successful.
⚫ They have a legal responsibility to file a University Police report in the event of criminal activity
⚫ This is fully explained in the Student Organization Handbook which is linked later in this presenation.

 Priority for
funding is given to students participating in
intercollegiate academic competitions and
presentations at professional conferences.
 Funding guidelines can be found online here
Resources
Accessing Funding Received
 If
you have or will receive funding for an event or
organization expense, it is important that you
schedule an appointment with Pam Creger in the
Student Involvement Center.
Important to remember:
–
The way in which you access your funding received depends on
what you were funded for
–
You will not receive the funding in a lump sum prior to your event
–
In order to make the most of your funding and have a successful
event, it is critical that you plan ahead and schedule a meeting to
discuss how your funding will be accessed
Pepsi Product Request
Free Pepsi product is available to student
organizations for events which meet the criteria set
out in the guidelines.
