Des Moines Register 08-07-007 Learn about grasses in iowa at arboretum Learn about the grasses that cover Iowa's native prairies, pastures and yards during a workshop and walk at the Brenton Arboretum in rural Dallas Center from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Lynn Clark, an Iowa State University botany professor and co-author of the Grasses of Iowa Web site, will share her photos of common and uncommon grasses such as gamma, bluestem and brome, and give tips on how to identify and find them.
