Des Moines Register 12-17-06 Biz Buzz: Reiman Gardens show off Art Deco look An Art Deco exhibit at Iowa State University's Reiman Gardens uses plants and props to evoke images of the glamorous 1920s and '30s. The gardens are located south of ISU's Jack Trice Stadium and are open from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily, except for Christmas Day. Admission to the gardens is free for children to age 17 and $5 for adults during the winter season, which lasts until April 30. The Art Deco exhibit includes a silver and pink Christmas tree, a "kissing" bromeliad balls display, a fountain spraying 8 feet in the air, and images of deer leaping from the center garden bed, along with a radiating sunburst and bold design characteristic of the Art Deco period.
