Landscape Gardener

Seasonal/Part time 2-3 days per week (with flexibility) for perennial installation and garden maintenance.
Verdant Land Design is a landscape & garden design build firm for residential and estate gardens. Our
designs are influenced with a variety of perennials and annuals for maximum flowering color. We provide
horticultural skill and care to keep the gardens glorious and flourishing. VLD is looking for responsible,
detail oriented gardeners who take pride in doing the best job for our customers. Must enjoy working
outdoors in all types of weather and getting their hands dirty. Job duties include: Soil fertilization and prep,
planting, pruning, weeding, staking and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of job sites during
visits. Our focus is on natural and biological practices to manage perennial and annual flower gardens,
container plantings.
• Team player with pleasant and polite disposition, good work ethic, professional appearance, ability to
work independently.
•Horticultural knowledge should include: plant and weed identification; maintenance of annuals,
perennials, shrub and trees; pest identification and management; pruning, shaping, dead heading, staking
for plant performance.
•Good visual and aesthetic sense to manage diverse gardens and plants
•Good record keeping
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Salary: starting wage $12/hour, doe
