Supplied globally to major agricultural OEMs and
integrators, Sprayer Wheels from GKN for row crop
sprayers are strong and durable by design.
GKN has extensive experience in the agricultural market,
continuously testing and developing wheels in-field, with
close customer collaboration. The feedback they receive
allows them to utilize the latest design technology when
it comes to the Sprayer Wheel, as well as incorporating
years of field testing.

The wheel has been designed for the most demanding of
agricultural field applications and is capable of operating
with extreme loads and at high operating speeds. It is
intended for use on row crop sprayers, which have a
high load bearing capacity, allowing farmers to cover a
higher acreage without the need to stop and refill. The
rim design builds in additional strength to provide high
quality without adding unnecessary weight helping to
deliver markedly increased fuel efficiency.

Wheels are available in widths from 8” to 23” and in
diameters from 30.5" to 54".

A Quality Product and Service
Quality is fundamental to GKN’s product range across all
sectors and product designs. All performance criteria comply
with at least one of the following rim and tyre standards –
TRA, ETRTO, JATMA and ISO. For the customer, this translates
into extended service life, reliable performance, safer
operations and lower maintenance cost.
Product Features and Benefits
•Optimal Concentricity is achieved through the use of modern
press-fit production – the press fit is formed at the edge
of the bowl with 2.500t, and then pressed into the rim
with a 50t ring – this particular method ensures a perfect
concentricity every time
•Better spring property is sought by use of a profile rim well
and a one-sided welding process
GKN’s Paint Plant Technology
GKN Wheels are leading the industry and
offer a technologically advanced paint
process. All of their wheels are finished
to the highest finish available, known
as C5 High, offering improved salt-spray
resistance and long-term protection
from corrosion across a wide range of
climatic conditions, meaning wheels
from GKN have a longer life-span and
higher durability no matter what their
environment. Typically, GKN’s wheels are
pre-treated with a zinc phosphate coating
which allows for improved corrosion
protection, then given an electrocoat and
finally a high performance top coat is
applied. GKN Wheels are proud to offer
best in class paint finish as standard,
meaning you can rely on every single
one of their wheels to deliver long term
benefits and reliability for all.
•More payload is capable by weight optimisation during
production, with the multiple bends the rim have making
for significant weight reduction while retaining the same
capacity
•Each wheel receives a modern industrial coating (CDC). This
coating protects the rim and provides an extremely high
level of corrosion protection, which in turn offers a much
longer life for the wheel
