SPECIAL APPLICATIONS CV-sideshafts The CV-sideshafts with Constant Velocity Ball Joints are used in vehicles with indipendent wheel suspension. These driveshafts represent an alternative to the conventional sideshafts with centred double cardan joints. A wide range of different joint sizes is available. The fix joint at the wheel side allows a maximum angle of up to 50°, whereas the slip joint at the differential side is designed for an angle of up to 31°. The fix joint can be delivered with a stem with an integrated sun gear. The boots are functionally optimized and guarantee a service free operation of the joints. CDC-sideshafts The sideshafts with centred double cardan joints are especially developed for extreme working conditions and allow high continuous angles at high speed. Despite the robust design of the joints a max. deflection angle of 50° is reached. Therefore a good manoeuvrability of the vehicle is guaranteed. These characteristics make these shafts predestined for the use in all-terrain vehicles. Sideshafts with single cardan joints These robust driveshafts are used primarily on rear axles of all type of vehicles with independent suspension. In the case of low continuous angles the single cardan joints can be used in combination with CV-sideshafts or CDC-sideshafts on steered driven front axles. A variety of different development tools and methods ensure that the products can be adapted to special customer requirements.
