At least 12 Special Education (SPED-xxx) credits plus Student Teaching must be completed at UW-Stout to be recommended for certification by UW-Stout. Requirements for the UW-Stout Design for Diversity Plan: New freshmen and transfer students will be expected to take a series of courses designed to heighten awareness of cultural diversity, minimize unconscious racism, and develop an informed citizenry that works toward equal opportunity for all Americans.
