Citing Sources Three widely used style guides for citing source material are located on the reference shelves in the Maple Woods Library: Ref 808.02 G35m-6 The MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (2003) is used for academic papers in many disciplines. Ref 808.02 P96 2001 Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association is often used by students in the psychology, social science, criminology, personnel and nursing curriculums. Ref 808.027 C43-15 The Chicago Manual of Style is used for humanities, including art history and history. It is important to find out which style your instructor prefers.
