Stop Out and Transfer Report Fall 2014 – Run in spring 2015 Office of Institutional Research and Assessment June 12, 2015 In May 2015, the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment ran a list of students that had been enrolled at Metropolitan Community College during fall 2014 and did not return by census date in spring 2015. This list was sent to the National Student Clearinghouse to determine if the students has enrolled at a different institution. Overall, there were 7,066 students that did not return to MCC in spring 2015. Of this number, 796 were graduates, 1,069 transferred without completing their degree at MCC and 5,201 were stop outs. Stop outs are students that are not enrolled at any institution the subsequent semester. Of these graduates, 464 did not transfer to another institution after graduation. 173 of the students (22% up from 20% fall 2013) did enroll at another institution in spring 2015, and 159 enrolled only at MCC. The majority of these students were at UMKC (53), followed by UCM (50), Park (21), and Missouri Western (8). This is the same order as fall 2013 and fall 2012. The average age was 23.96 and the average GPA was 3.12. Also, 20 received a Pell Grant in fall 2014 (38%) and 43 were in district residents. The average age was 25.34 and the average GPA was 3.12. Also, 20 received a Pell Grant in fall 2014 (40%) and 36 were in district residents. Also, 9 received a Pell Grant in fall 2014 and 14 were in district residents. Finally, 16 (76%) were Caucasian and 5 (23%) were non-white. The gender distribution had 5 were female (63%) and 3 were male (37%). The average age was 26 and the average GPA was 2.98. Also, 2 received a Pell Grant in fall 2014 and 4 were in district residents. Finally, 10 (91%) were Caucasian and 1 (9%) was non-white. 3 Graduated – reenrolled at MCC There were 159 students that graduated from MCC in fall 2014 and returned for classes in spring 2015. Of these, 28 were from Blue River, 40 from Business & Technology, 34 from Longview, 33 from Maple Woods, and 24 from Penn Valley. The gender distribution had 82 were female (52%) and 77 were male (48%). The average age was 29.98 and the average GPA was 3.11. Also, 79 received a Pell Grant in fall 2014 and 133 were in district residents. Finally, 112 (70%) were Caucasian and 40 (30%) were nonwhite.
