Although a student may express an intention toward a particular major upon entering the University, s/he must officially file a Graduation Plan for
their chosen major in the semester after completing 60 credit hours toward a degree. Students transferring with more than 60 hours will be asked
to file a graduation plan during the first semester of enrollment. In order to file a graduation plan, students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or
higher, have Math 1100 completed with a C- or better, have English 1000 completed with a C- or better, and meet any additional departmental
requirements. Students must complete additional departmental requirements in order to file a graduation plan for the majors listed below. The
requirements may not necessarily have to be met to transfer into the major, but they are required to file a graduation plan.

Bio 1500 and Chem 1310, grade in the “C” range
Completion of at least one Communication course on MU campus with a grade of B- or better, plus
a “B” average in all communication courses taken at MU.
Competitive UM GPA (a 2.5 minimum GPA is required to apply to the program, but a 2.75 GPA is
more competitive) including at least 12 MU hrs.
Competitive GPA in Communication courses taken at MU.
Student may not apply until the semester when they are completing their 45th hour of credit.
Student must be accepted to the department to file a graduation plan.
MU GPA of 2.67 in Econ 1014, 1015, & 3229 or MU GPA of 2.5 (including one full term at MU—not
summer)
