Extreme Weather & Wildfires
As extreme weather conditions around
the country persist and the threat of wildfires
continues to grow, more and more property
owners are becoming susceptible to the loss
of property due to wildfires.¹ Airborne embers
often pose one of the greatest threats to
homes and properties in the vicinity of
a wildfire because they can be carried by
the wind and cause new wildfires to erupt.

Description
EmberShield® Closeable Soffit Vents are
manufactured with heavy-duty materials at
the GAF Burgaw, NC, plant using the latest
technology in manufacturing to provide a
product of the highest quality and performance.
Features & Benefits
•M
aximum Protection… During wildfire
conditions, homeowners or first responders
can close the EmberShield® Closeable Soffit
Vents, helping prevent dangerous embers
from entering the attic.
¹ GAF's limited product warranty does not cover damage caused by fire, including
wildfire embers. See Master Flow® Ventilation Products Limited Warranty for complete coverage and restrictions.
For technical information, contact GAF Master Flow®
products at 1-800-211-9612.
² Always have a balanced attic ventilation system. Balanced ventilation requires
an equal amount of intake ventilation and exhaust ventilation. GAF recommends
at minimum providing 1 square foot of net free ventilation for every 300 square
feet of attic floor space. In no case should the amount of exhaust ventilation
exceed the amount of intake ventilation. Always consult local building codes
for other ventilation requirements.
