Appendix H 1 The institution where the animals will be housed/used may require independent review of the procedures by their Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee or equivalent. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) may be required with the offsite institution that clearly describes the animals’ monitoring and care requirements, transportation, payment arrangements, etc. The MOU must be endorsed by both the UCI Campus Veterinarian and a responsible party for the offsite institution.
