LINCOLN MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine FINANCIAL AID AWARD CONDITIONS All awards are subject to the following conditions: 1. Students receiving any type of outside financial assistance must notify the Office of Financial Services to determine if the assistance must be considered as a resource. Federal regulations may require DCOM to reduce eligibility based on this information. Assistance that must be counted as a resource includes, but is not limited to, Vocational Rehabilitation, Military Health Professions Scholarships, payment of all or part of tuition by a hospital or employer, or any outside scholarship. Financial assistance from parents is not considered. 2. Federal regulations require that DCOM monitor class attendance. Failure to attend class could result in a student being required to repay all or a portion of the financial aid received for a semester. 3. All federal financial aid is awarded subject to the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy at DCOM. 4. The Director of Financial Services is obligated on behalf of DCOM to review and adjust any award at any time because of changes in financial aid conditions or an increase in resources. 5. Students who withdraw from DCOM must notify the Office of Financial Services of this action. Withdrawal could result in a student owing repayment of Title IV funds received. 6. Students who stop attending all classes but do not complete the official withdrawal process could owe a repayment of Title IV funds. 7. Students who withdraw or drop below half-time and have received federal student loans at any time during their enrollment at DCOM just notify the Office of Financial Services and complete a loan exit interview. 8. Refund checks will be available beginning approximately one week after the first day of class each semester. All checks should be picked up in the Cashier’s Office at D.A.R. Hall. Checks not picked up in a reasonable period of time will be mailed to the address on record.
