TABLE VIEW BEACHFRONT
CONCEPTUAL TRANSPORT
OPTIONS
The City of Cape Town has recently completed a transport study for the Table View
beachfront. The study has developed a number of conceptual transport options for the
beachfront that aim to mitigate the impact of a rise in sea level and improve the recreational
amenity of the area.
In terms of section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000,
the public and interested parties or groups are given the opportunity to submit comments,
recommendations or input to the municipality. The closing date for comment is 31 January 2015.
Members of the public are invited to attend a workshop where the transport options will
be introduced.
