MATH 220 Writing Assignment
Spring 2014
Due dates and further details are below.
Tuesday, 3/4 Tell me what your topic is by the end of my office hours on
Monday.
Thursday 3/6 Paper proposal due at or before the start of class. This
should be one or two sentences describing the chosen topic. (Typed or
handwritten.) (10 points)
Thursday 3/20 Outline of paper due at or before the start of class. It
should contain most or all of the ideas that will appear in the final
paper. (Typed or handwritten.) (15 points)
Tuesday 4/1 Three typed copies of the rough draft of the term paper are
due at or before the start of class. The grade will be based on content.
(20 points)
Thursday 4/3 Each enrolled student will edit one term paper of other
enrolled students for credit. Students should only edit the paper of
one of their colleagues. Students should follow the guidelines on the
Student Editor Worksheet.
Tuesday 4/8 Corrections due. (10 points)
Thursday 4/24 Final paper due at or before the start of class. In addition,
a PDF file should be send to your instructor. This must be a minimum
of 2000 words and typed (approximately 8 pages if double spaced).
The grade will be based on mechanics, presentation, and content. (45
points)
