Chancellor’s Intercollegiate Athletic Advisory Committee

The purpose of the committee is to advise the university on how intercollegiate
athletics can best serve the interests of UW-Stout, how it can enrich the
educational experiences of the student body, and play a constructive role in the
community.
1. Annually, the committee will review compliance issues and make
recommendations on appropriate actions to be taken.
2. Review policies governing athletics for possible recommendations.
3. Review of any changes, compliance issues, or policy issues.
4. Review and recommend how issue surrounding athletics is shared with
the campus; provide a feedback mechanism for faculty, academic staff,
classified staff, and students on athletics or issues related to athletics.
5. Review, discuss, and recommend how the university supports the Division
III philosophy to the campus, community, and state.
6. Other issues or activities that relate to or affect the athletic programs at
UW-Stout.

Unclassified members will serve two-year terms and no more than four
consecutive years (with the exception of the Faculty Athletic Representatives and
ex officio members); Students will serve a one-year term.

Minutes of each meeting and distribute to committee members, Chancellor’s
Office, Provost’s Office, and Office of Vice Chancellor for Administrative and
Student Life Services.
Include ssacommunications@uwstout.edu when sending any official committee
correspondence (agendas, minutes, etc.)
The committee will twice per academic year; once in the fall and once in the
spring. Special meetings may be called at the request of the Chancellor or Chair.
