Ex e c ut iv e Pr of i le James R. “Ji m” Shultz - Managing Director Jim Shultz has 30 years of experience in the mining industry, and has founded JRS Consulting to provide management, strategic planning, mining property evaluation, due diligence and “cold eye” review services to private and government customers. Prior to establishing JRS Consulting in July 2007, Jim Shultz held executive positions at Washington Group Mining, including project, departmental, regional, subsidiary, and Group/Division management positions. Mr. Shultz’s mining experience includes project, contract administration and business development in the domestic and international arenas. As vice president, Business Development, he was responsible for the Mining Group’s global business development activities. In Indonesia, he was the country manager responsible for two mine management contracts, and participated on the development team of a new mine and power plant project. Using the Jakarta office as a new business development platform, Jim Shultz designed a business model for obtaining mineral concessions in China and successfully applied that model by securing four large polymetallic concessions in Northern China – Inner Mongolia Before that, as managing director of MK Deutschland GmbH, Berlin, Germany, he directed new business development activities in Central Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States. He was also managing director responsible for the company’s business development activities in Europe. During this period, a major German brown-coal mining and power generation operation was acquired - MIBRAG. Jim Shultz holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona and has completed many additional training courses, including attending the Stanford Graduate School for Executive Management.
