Permanent plots are established on Forests throughout the region. Contact your Forest Check Cruiser for information and directions to permanent plots. Individuals attending the annual Qualified Cruiser training and certified through this training are not required to be check cruised on permanent plot. 62 – INSPECTING INDIVIDUAL CRUISER PERFORMANCE A written report detailing the status of the check cruise on an individual will be submitted to the Timber Management Officer within 14 working days of completing the check cruise. The Forest Check Cruiser will be complete this report. Forward a copy of this report to the responsible District Ranger(s) with recommendations for corrective action as appropriate. 63 – INSPECTING SALES 63.11 – Check Cruise Field Measurement Inspection Provide the Forest Check Cruiser with aerial photos and topographic maps showing the location of the area to be check cruised. Note the location of a reference point and cruise plots on either the photos or maps for fixed and variable plot cruises. An approved copy of the marking and cruising plan. 2. Copies of field notes and data sheets completed by production cruisers on the timber sale. 3. A copy of the National Timber Cruising System (NATCRS) summary including at a minimum reports: A1 - Listing of strata and unit identification A2 - Listing of individual tree measurements and characteristics A5 - Listing of primary and secondary product gross and net cubic foot volume information for each tree and per acre/per strata B1 - Low Level Volume Summary CP1 - Volume Summary for Sample Group CS1 - Volume Summary for Strata DP1 - Statistics for Sample Group DS1 - Error Term, Volume, and Confidence Interval 4. The responsible cruiser being check cruised shall accompany the Forest Check Cruiser during the check cruise.
