2493 - TIMBER SALE PREPARATION RECORDS AND REPORTS
2493.1 – Sale Tracking and Reporting System
A. Policy
1. Each District Ranger and the Forest Stewardship Branch Leader shall insure that
the STARS System will be utilized to track each Timber Sale project from initial
proposal through administration.
2. Initial sale information shall be entered into the STARS database, as they become
a part of the 10 Year Sale Program. (Initial Proposal)
3. The STARS Database shall be updated as changes occur. As a minimum updates
shall be made on a monthly basis.
4. The Forest Timber Specialist (Sales & Valuation) shall serve as STARS System
Administrator/Coordinator for the Forest.
