2431.31a – Standard Rates
Follow Regional direction for use of Standard Rates in the current R-2 supplement to FSM
2431.31. In accordance with 2431.04b Forest standard rates for other products are listed below:

1/ Fuelwood permits will be sold for $15.00/cord on the San Isabel NF and $20.00/cord on the
Pike NF. The San Isabel accounting for the total charge is $2.00/cord for road maintenance and
brush disposal deposit and $13.00/cord for stumpage. The Pike accounting for the total charge is
$4.00/cord for road maintenance and brush disposal deposit and $16.00/cord for stumpage.
2/ Free use fuelwood is usually of lower quality or farther from the market/demand areas and is
therefore, of less value than the wood sold on personal use permits. The amount of free use
products that can be issued to a user in any 1 year cannot exceed $20 in value (Ref: FSM
2462.4). Therefore, the maximum quantity of fuelwood that can be issued on a free use permit is
four cords.
3/ Christmas tree permits are sold on the San Isabel NF for $10.00/tree ($8.00/tree is for the nonconvertible stumpage and $2.00/tree is collected as a road maintenance deposit).
Christmas tree permits are sold on the Pike NF for $10.00/tree ($8.00/tree is for the nonconvertible stumpage and $2.00/tree is collected for the Recreation Fee Demo per the Front
Range Christmas Tree Program Business Plan (11/96)).
4/ Transplants, small trees, and shrub permits will be for $10.00/plant ($8.00 is for the nonconvertible stumpage and $2.00 will be collected as a road maintenance deposit).
