Clippings and releases related to current and emerging issues should be faxed or electronically transmitted immediately after publication to the Public Affairs – Media Relation Staff in the Regional Office and to the Washington Office – Office of Communications. Supervisors Offices and Ranger Districts should subscribe to a representative sample of local newspapers of general circulation and appropriate publications with area-wide circulation to help monitor events and issues concerning the management and use of National Forests. This information is essential to aid Forest Supervisors, Regional Foresters and the Chief in keeping current on issues and trends of public concern. Copies of original articles are acceptable.
