1580.41d - Regional Forester, Station Directors, Area Director, International Institute of
Tropical Forestry Director and Special Agents in Charge of Law Enforcement
and Investigations
The Alaska Region (R10) recognizes the need to designate Forest Supervisors, Deputy
Forest Supervisors and the Director of State and Private Forestry as signatory officials for grants,
cooperative agreements and other FSM 1580 agreements for programs under their jurisdication.
As such, signatory officials must be familiar with the policy and regulations in FSH 1509.11.
Forest Supervisors and Deputy Forest Supervisors are designated as signatory officials
for grants or agreements issued under their appointed forest. This authority cannot be redelegated
to a position lower than a Deputy Forest Supervisor.
Region 6 / Region 10 Director of State and Private Forestry is designated as a signatory
official for grants and agreements to the State, local governments, other recipients or
cooperators.
