This unique series of cabinets offers multiple, fieldconfigurable chambers and temperature controlled environmental zones within a single enclosure to provide the ideal environment for each piece of equipment. Battery backup assures continued operation when commercial power is interrupted. By eliminating the need for permitting and construction of shelters, fieldconfigurable NetXtend™ Cell Site Series enclosures reduce deployment cycles and also provide flexibility for the inevitable configuration changes that next-generation mobile broadband technology demands. Easily configurable, these enclosures support distributed BTS applications, as well as power and battery back-up deployments. 8 3 1 9 4 2 5 10 1 1 6 7 Battery Cabinet (front) 1 2 3 Thermoelectric Cooler Forced Air Ventilator RF Equipment Racks (19-in.) Plus, once an enclosure is deployed, it can be reconfigured in the field to accommodate new equipment and new requirements. Roof Panel Walls, Panels & Doors Racks and Accessories The roof panel is removable to provide access to internals for cabling and maintenance. The panel is alarmed to prevent unknowingly leaving the panel open after servicing the equipment. An audible alarm alerts the technician on the site, and the alarm is also communicated to the NOC (Network Operations Center), should the technician leave the site without securing the panel. Modular panels and doors are combined to create divided chambers within the enclosure that provide different thermal zones to satisfy OEM equipment environmental needs. After initial deployment, as technology evolves and equipment changes, chambers can be expanded or decreased in the field by moving partitions, rather than requiring complete enclosure replacement. NetXtend™ Cell Site enclosures are built with 23" equipment racks. 23" to 19" adapters are available to support different OEM equipment such as RxAIT (Receive Antenna Interface Tray) equipment, distributed BTS systems, and other RF and power distribution components. Doors with gaskets are designed to hinge from either side and can be changed from one side to the other in the field to accommodate the space requirements of the installation. Exterior panels are aluminum. The inner frame--the main structural component-is steel. All surfaces are protected with our patented multistage powder finishing process to meet EPA standards. The finish meets GR-487 requirements, including salt fog. 4 Mounting NetXtend™ Cell Site Series enclosures are designed for pad or grate mounting. An optional mounting plinth is available with six bolt locations. Installation of bolts in all six positions meets requirements for Zone 4 seismic applications. Climate Control Solutions Whatever climate or heat dissipation requirements may arise, there is a climate control solution available to keep your equipment operating within its optimum temperature range. Options include a variety of environmentally friendly solutions such as positive-pressure forced air cooling, Freon-free thermoelectric coolers, heat exchangers, fan cooling, convection cooling and combinations of the above to meet more dynamic requirements. The integrated Environmental Control Unit (ECU) monitors conditions in each chamber and provides power controls and alarms to/from the applicable thermal components. Climate control systems are integrated into the door or panels at the factory and are field configurable by adjusting the software in the ECU to accommodate changes in thermal requirements of contained equipment. Battery Choices Battery backup assures continued operation during loss of commercial power, keeping your cell site up and running and keeping your revenue stream flowing. NetXtend™ Cell Site Series enclosures are available with -48V and +24V battery shelf options. Cabinets can hold up to 20 batteries by combining chambers, while still meeting Seismic Zone 4 requirements. Battery shelf compartments are isolated from electronics compartments to allow for optimum thermal zones for each type of equipment in the cabinet. 5 Power Cabinet NetXtend™ Cell Site Power Cabinets offer three sealed chambers for DC power, ancillary equipment and batteries. The DC power chamber is configured with either a +24V NetSure® 700 system or a -48V NetSure® 701 system. The center and bottom chambers can be combined to house additional batteries, if desired. The cabinet comes equipped with a 10-position ground bar and 50-pair Phoenix® terminal block. Two optional 200/200A automatic transfer switches can be mounted to the side of this cabinet.
