Assignments:

assignment builds on the skills and knowledge needed to successfully complete the next assignment; therefore, assignments must be completed on time. A student who cannot meet a deadline must speak with the teacher before the due date. Marks will be deducted at 5% per day if the student has not met with the teacher prior to the deadline. If the assignment is more than five days late, it will be marked for completion. Failure to meet these expectations could result in loss of credit. Should there be extenuating circumstances, parents must contact the teacher prior to the final deadline. All assignments must be submitted at the beginning of class with rough work attached.

Pr Both group and individual presentations must occur at the scheduled time.

A student with extenuating circumstances may receive an alternative time if the student contacts the teacher before the appointed date. If a student is absent on a scheduled presentation date, an authentic note indicating a medical reason or emergency for the absence must be presented; otherwise a mark of zero will be recorded. If one or more group members are absent on a scheduled presentation date, the remaining members are expected to present.

Tests/Quizzes: medical reason or emergency for the absence will be allotted a mark of zero. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange with the teacher a time to make up a missed time.
