Description
The NextStep® is a versatile above-ground low profile 360° access closure that provides
maximum capacity and work area for multiple applications in telecommunication distribution equipment. With a maximum above-grade presence of less than 14 inches, the
NextStep® closure has a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. The NextStep® closure
provides for developing technologies with expansions kits that increase volume and equipment capacity.
Built to last in any environment, the lightweight NextStep® is manufactured of gray-green
HMHDPE (high molecular weight high density polyethylene). Available in two sizes,
12" x 28" or 18" x 31", the NextStep® can be equipped with either a 12-in. two-lobe base or
an 18-in. three-lobe base.
Two adjustable bracketing options, consisting of a divider plate or standard horizontal
mounting brackets, accept the installation of a variety of equipment. The plastic divider
plate has a universal hole pattern for mounting all types of terminal blocks.
The horizontal bracket assembly is made of mill-galvanized steel protected with our
unique multi-stage paint process that resists corrosion.
All units come equipped with self-locking mechanisms and a security hasp for padlocktype protection.
Application
The NextStep® closure serves as an above-ground terminal housing identical to POTS
applications with migrating capabilities for joint installation of fiber, coaxial and copper
distribution equipment, such as taps, splitters, line extenders, splice modules, terminal
blocks, etc.
