Meeting – called to order

Minutes approved – Michelle 1 st – Kim McComb 2 nd

Dance A Thon

Dance –a-thon made $1753.35 – minus the $250 for decorations.

Mrs. Caunter’s class won – option for pizza party or ice cream party.

Junior students did show up. Excited about getting dressed up.

Costumes up on the tv.

Fundraising updates

Macmillan’s - 43 orders

$1015.73 in profits. November 26 is the pick up date.

Do the spring order as well.

Send it home for Easter, and do pick up in May. Order has to be in to McMillans 2 weeks before delivery.

Order forms go home on March 24. Need to returned on April 13.

Deliveries to Fergus on a Thursday – on May 19.

McMillan’s to go towards scientists in school.

If we only want to do one, we can add the meat to it.

Jingle Mingle

Jingle Mingle is a Christmas Event in lieu of a concert. A carol sing, gift basket raffle with a

Santa’s workshop, book fair and crafts.

Need to be more organized with the raffle tickets.

Craft supplies that are taking up space in the supply room - use them up first.

Jingle Mingle is taking place Dec 3th - send notes home for donations by November 25th.

Snack table & Apple Cider – lug a mug – 24 L of apple cider.

Everyone is welcome.

6 crafts – glue to the minimum.

Donate paper, baskets etc. Check to see how many raffle tickets are left.

Face painting? Melissa Watkins

630 to 800. Volunteers arrive for 6:00 to set up crafts and snacks.

Has to be a faster way to do ticket purchases.

Get 50/50 type-tickets – write name and range of tickets on a list.

Get different colours of tickets. Chris will organize.

June /Mrs. Perry to do a craft.

Some high school student s to volunteer for hours.

Each school council member to donate a basket, if possible.

Mix up the tickets.

Nicole to confirm if she is bringing toys again. Deadline Nov 27.

Do we want to do the same charity as last year – food bank?

Mitten tree and food drive.

Food donation for admission.

Do one notice. A standard template, and the teacher can update the items as needed.

Peanut free choices for bake table -- Meggin.

Onine auctions

Looking for donations. Complete for mid to late April.

Do a Facebook online auction.

Profit to go to playground

Book Alma optimists again.

Need more food trucks (Tim Horton’s, Harvey’s etc) – Nicole & Chris to work on it.

Dinner for Family day – combined with activities?

Regroup in January.

Guelph Storm Fundraiser

Must hit the 150 tickets before it is committed. There are a lot of hockey teams doing this too.

Share with another school

Tickets $17.50. Leave arena between 6:30 & 7:00 to keep the dressing rooms opened.

Forego for this year

Bags 2 School

Rethink for next year. Do it in the spring – winter stuff is heavier.

Treasurer’s report

$7000 and change

Books for Birthdays – Laurie found 73 books for $1 each.

$151.20 for school council insurance.

Credit for optimist food booth donation.

Did not pay for the field for Mighty Motore. Just the damage deposit.

$250 to Rob Ecclestone for gym decoration for Dance-a-thon.

Do we need to do a teacher’s wish list?

Mad Science – discussion about times.

Grade 6 trip -- Earth Keepers – will we get outdoor education money?
