COURSE DESCRIPTIONS BUF-001: Site Planning and Design for Erosion & Sediment Control Properly prepared erosion and sediment control plans are one of the most critical components of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). This two-day course will teach consulting engineers, landscape architects, resource specialists, code enforcement officers, and others who prepare or review these plans to: know the rules & regulations, evaluate the site for water quality risk, compute soil loss and runoff volumes, select and design appropriate practices, and learn how to install and inspect E&S control measures. A field exercise is planned for the course and participants will receive the New York Standards and Specifications for Erosion and Sediment Control. A calculator and engineer’s scale is needed for the course.
