The program promises to attract all foresters regardless of specific interest or job description. In addition, we have reserved a block of tickets for the Syracuse Crunch Hockey Game Wednesday evening January 30th in Syracuse. Come early and join in some good winter enjoyment. Tickets are $13 and must be paid for with your registration. We will assemble at the Holiday Inn at 6:00 p.m. Transportation to the game will be provided. Thursday evening, instead of a banquet, we encourage people to join others from their area of the State for dinner at one of the many local restaurants to discuss chapter activities. Friday morning at the annual business meeting we will be asking for brief reports on what (if anything) local NYSAF Chapters have been doing. Continuing Forestry Education Credit: SAF Certified Forester Credits: This meeting has been approved for 8 Category I Continuing Forestry Education credits. Call for Posters: A special social hour and poster session is planned for Thursday late afternoon. We encourage people to submit proposals for posters on any subject relating to forestry in New York State. Applied research, innovative management programs, special activities are just some of the areas. Poster material should be designed to fit on a 4 ft by 8 ft. area. Provide a review of basic interest rate concepts 2. Illustrate the use of time value formulae in solving real-world problems 3. Review basic investment criteria of PNV, B/C, IRR, SEV 4. Show examples of applying investment criteria to forestry problems By the end of the course it is expected that participants will be able to apply investment analysis to many different problems in forest management. They will have a better understanding of the use of this set of tools in forest management decision-making. Clients can be better advised of the tradeoffs and choices in forest management alternatives.
