This organization has both undergraduate and graduate opportunities in Science and
Engineering.
Undergraduate: DAAD, in cooperation with science organizations in North America and
Germany, is pleased to offer summer internships in Germany for US and Canadian
undergraduate students in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences and
engineering. RISE fellows work directly with doctoral students in research groups at top
German universities and institutions and can expect to gain serious hands-on research
experience.
Graduate: The RISE (Research Internship in Science and Engineering) professional
program is administered by DAAD's headquarters in Bonn, Germany. Please visit
www.daad.de/rise-pro for the complete program description and application guidelines.
Looking for a practical, career-building experience in the fields of Biology, Chemistry,
Physics, Earth Sciences and Engineering (or closely related subjects)? Are you
graduating this summer with your Bachelor's, or are currently a Master or PhD student
from the US or Canada (or an undergraduate DAAD alumna/us)? RISE professional
internship placements provide students the opportunity to live and work in an
international context, to gain confidence in their practical and professional skills, and to
improve their German. Last but not least, the internship should be a source of mutual
cultural and professional enrichment for both the interns and their host companies.
