And a brief appearance by Dale Adkins. I. Welcome. II. Approval of minutes from March 4, 2011 meeting. Approved. III. Policy Issue Updates. Transfer grades for transfer courses accepted for transfer credit and meeting FL/GI requirements. Discussion of issues on whether CIE should recommend a minimum grade requirement policy for transfer cources. No conclusion was reached. IV. Department/Program Requirement forms: a. Tabled The above were tabled because their Study Abroad courses listed for meeting the FL/GI requirement, have not been submitted to and approved by CIE yet. These included FCS 358 for Hospitality Option, FCS 307for Dietetics Option, and FCS 377 for Fashion and Merchandising Option. V. Discipline Specific Global Issues Courses. a. RPTA i. RPTA - International Tourism. Approved. b. Special Education i. SSED 495 - Teaching with a Global Perspective. Approved. VI. Committee members leaving CIE at the end of this year. Discussion took place on keeping coherency with so many current CIE members leaving the Committee at the end of this year -and the need for a new Chair of the Committee.
