Exams: there will be three prelims and a final. Most of the exam questions will be
very much like the suggested exercises. The best way to prepare for the exams is to
work as many problems as possible. You will find plenty of unassigned problems in
the book to practice on. we do not like make-up exams give on different day unless
you really have a legitimate reason. In that case you expected to talk me one week
before the exam. Do not simply fail to show up and then try to explain why, you risk
an F if you do this.
Grading: At end of the term the letter grades will be based on the following:
Three prelims .........60%
Final exam ............30%
Homework...10%
Homework: Homework will be assigned virtually T, Th and F and will be due one
week from the date of assignment.
Assignments submitted more than one week late will not be accepted.
Important Days:
April 1 Absolutely the last day to drop the course.
May 10 12:40-2:40 Final Exam.
